10pm. Improvising. Trying to figure out a digital version of duct tape. There's always stuff broken in weird ways, and there's always temporary fixes that last for reasonably ever. Of course it's not satisfying most of the time, but maybe it's also just a matter of expectations, being lenient with personal standards and minimizing effort dedicated to tasks generally useless from a wider perspective. Maybe that drastically lowers the bar of "good enough". The rest is a half-baked attempt to get to sleep early, and predictable failure.
